In a cosy and calming setting stands l’Emblème, a restaurant of the Mouratoglou Hotel & Resort. It waves a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere brought by the high-profile sportspersons who gather here. This exceptional address combines sport history and a breathtaking view of the pool’s deep blue reflections, offering a total escape at the very heart of Sophia Antipolis.
At l’Emblème, the menu is a daily adventure – the chefs relish in sharing some classics of French cuisine and mediterranean specialties alike, offering bistronomic and refined cookery. The high point of this culinary voyage are our pastry chef Olivier Marro’s signature desserts. If you decide to indulge in one of his sweets – either between two business meetings or after a workout – you’ll be stunned by their creative touch.
To imagine the name of our restaurant, we wondered what was the first thing that inspired the Mouratoglou Hotel & Resort with our former, current and future visitors. “The racket-shaped pool”. The Emblem of the Resort.
Patrick Mouratoglou, emblematic coach of Serena Williams for more than seven years, wanted to build a place in his image – until the restaurant. On the walls – Hall of Fame style – are framed with photos of the restaurant’s illustrious customers, all emblems of the world of sport or entertainment. Emblematic matches in the history of tennis or the careers of Academy players are broadcast on screens. All in a natural setting, emblematic of the atmosphere that reigns at the Resort as on the French Riviera, magnified by wooden rackets adorning the walls, emblems of the golden age of tennis in the 80s.
If each decorative element is an emblem of its time, thus participating in a timeless experience, our chefs are the emblems of a certain idea of tableware: that of healthy, homemade and seasonal cuisine offered by Chef Gabriel Degenne. As for pastry, the emblematic dishes of the French culinary tradition are revisited with style, creativity and indulgence by our Pastry Chef Olivier Marro.
